Your Print Guide & A1 Focus Chart Frame

Looking to frame your focus chart or get it printed perfectly? Here's a no-nonsense guide to help you out — whether you're in LA, London, Tokyo or anywhere in between.

Print Tips (trust me, they matter)

To get the best possible print, ask your local print shop if they can do 1200 DPI. This gives you super sharp detail across the whole chart.

Also:

  • Go for matte paper – helps avoid glare from overhead lights

  • Choose thick stock – at least 230 g/m²

  • And of course, A1 size – your print shop will know what that means

In Haarlem, my print shop mounts it on a 5mm thick board called Vorex. It's great — you can just stick it to the wall with double-sided tape or screw it on. No frame needed.

But regular paper, like Tecco PM230, can yield way better results. For this, you’ll need a nice frame. Below you'll find some good options in your region. But of course, feel free to go to a local woodworker to make you an even nicer frame! OR — DIY, of course 😉
