In April 2025, my friend Jaimy and I set off on a 15-day expedition through Botswana. No lodges. Just a tent and our trusted Land Cruiser.

We filmed in the Okavango Delta, the Kalahari Desert, and remote bush areas where lions, hyenas and elephants roam freely. We even had a few close calls — including hippos next to our tent, stolen gear, and a moment where we got stuck right before dark…

I also brought along Sony’s new 400-800mm f/6.3-9 G lens to see how it performed under the toughest possible conditions. This video is part documentary, part field test, and 100% real. This was the craziest trip of my life. I hope it inspires you to go out, shoot, and chase your version of wild.
