My Meditation is a story about Karen, who, at the young age of 15, was a victim of sexual abuse. Highlining, a sport that involves walking on a thin line meters above the ground, brings her peace and helps her cope with depression, anxiety, and negative thoughts. Karen finds joy and a new lease on life through highlining and now travels the world to share her passion and assist others in walking the line.
The film was shot in one of the most stunning locations in Holland, at Schoorl, North-Holland, which is the most unique spot for walking a highline. The director and cinematographer, Sjoerd Wess, captures the beauty of Karen’s journey, while also serving as the editor and colorist.
